Yesterday, Eve and I rescued a bird that was trapped behind a window grate. He was trying all day to get out, and we finally were able to pry the grate off and carry him out. He seemed quite young and exhausted from trying to escape all day, making him completely unable to fly. We set him up in a nice big box, complete with water and some crumbs, and even tried hand feeding him drops of water. After shitting in my hand twice, vomiting rust, and looking somewhat more active, we put the bird to sleep. This morning, Tweeter had passed.
